Just a quick reminder that "A Place For Us," an album celebrating the 50th anniversary of West Side Story, will be released on Tuesday, September 4.

Hugh's track, a new version of "Tonight" with Kristin Chenoweth, is one of two new, previously unheard recordings on the album which also features Barbra Streisand, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Canadian Brass, and Eldar.

A few photos have been added to HPN's Gallery pages this week.

We're always looking for more content for the site. So this seems like a good time to put out the call again.

If you have anything to share - pictures from Hugh's shows, stage door or backstage photos with him, articles or reviews - we'd love to include them on the site.

So, if you have anything, please let us know!

You can e-mail me anytime at admin@hugh-panaro.net

Thanks in advance!

Happy Anniversary

Today marks two years since Hugh-Panaro.net made its on-line debut.

The site "went live" at its original URL on August 12, 2005.

Click here for a glimpse of the original version.

The site will always continue to evolve and we will always do our best to provide you with the latest news of Hugh.

Please, feel free to stop by our message board and join us for a little celebratory reminiscing.

As alway, thank you to Hugh for being so supportive of this project and thanks to everyone who has visited our site and contributed in some way.

Quick CD update

As of today, a release date for Hugh's CD hasn't been set yet.

However, when it is released it will be available through iTunes. I know some people were asking about that.

When more details are available, they'll be posted!

Recording news

No, this is not an update on Hugh's solo CD...yet.

Before leaving for Europe to tour with Barbra Streisand, Hugh was in the studio with Kristin Chenoweth to record a new version of "Tonight" for a new West Side Story album.

The album, A Place For Us - A Tribute To 50 Years of West Side Story, is now available for pre-order and is set for release in early September.

Hugh and Kristin are in good company as the album features tracks by such music icons as Julie Andrews, Neil Diamond, Andre Previn, and Barbra Streisand.

Also, Simply Barbra Duets, an album by Streisand tribute artist Steven Brinberg was released earlier this year. For a preview of Hugh's smooth, sultry duet with "Simply Barbra," please check out Hugh's official MySpace page.

If you couldn't make it to Europe to hear Hugh with the real Babs, this isn't a bad substitute.

Now, here's hoping it won't be too long before I have something to blog about Hugh's own album.

Post-tour update

The European concert tour with Barbra Streisand ended with a final performance in London on July 25.

The HPN page for the tour has been updated with on-stage photos shared by fans and wonderful candids of Hugh and Barbra's "Broadway boys" out and about in Europe.

Click here for all the tour-related photos and links.

Also, some video footage from various tour stops has been shared by Barbra's fans and is available at the HPN message board. Thanks to everyone who provided the videos and to my co-admin, Bonnie, for organizing and posting them.

I've received a lot of inquiries about Hugh's plans now that the tour has ended. As soon as Hugh or his agents let me know what his next project(s) will be, that news will be posted immediately. I'm hoping to hear an update on his solo album and will pass that along as well.

Stay tuned...
